Following crit with Tracey Johnson spent Sunday afternoon beginning to draw
each individual whole Willow Pattern motif onto an A3 sheet as a try-out.
The scanned picture here represents the outside and part of the inner-edge.
What order, so different from my current unsystematic approach.

This is a really interesting development isn't it Annabel. I'm an absolute fiend for "ordering" and "categorising" although I'm not sure that this necessarily comes through in my own work, but I love it. I love the idea of your drawing becoming a means of methodically cataloguing every element of the WP plate. I also love the idea of establishing a set of rules for the process - or even inventing some sort of proforma or inventory which you have to accurately and methodically complete. Very interesting... I want to do it myself!
